PartyPoker: the new place to play for serious grinders

Promotion Summary
  • Lowered rake to 2.86 to 4.55%
  • Certain satellite tournament entry fees slashed in half

We’re barely three months into 2019, but significant changes are afoot in the poker world. In case you’ve been out of the loop, PokerStars took a hatchet to their rewards program in the past month. In short, the site devalued MTT chests by up to 55%.

The move was met with outrage by MTT grinders. Some of these were prominent Twitch streamers like Kevin Martin, Lex Veldhuis, and the Staples brothers, Jaime and Matt.

In response to this, PartyPoker made bold moves to appeal to serious poker players. These included the improvement of their VIP program, and the creation of a new tier, Diamond Club Elite.

And they aren’t done, yet. A few weeks ago, PartyPoker made another huge announcement – they’re actually lowering the rake. Find out more about this development below.

What’s happening at PartyPoker?

As of Sunday, March 3rd, PartyPoker did something unthinkable – they lowered the rake. Turbo and hyper-turbo satellite grinders will be pleased to learn site administrators have slashed entry fees in half.

Rake now averages between 2.86 to 4.55% – the higher you play, the lower it gets. Together with PartyPoker’s rakeback program, which refunds 20-40% of rake, PartyPoker is becoming the best place for poker online.
