Party Sports Ontario
As gaming brands go, Party is a super heavyweight. Since 1997, they’ve offered casino games, online poker, and sports betting to people worldwide.
And now, they’ve launched their sportsbook in Ontario. But is Party Sports a good option for Ontario bettors? Below, we’ll examine everything they bring to the table.
Party Sports Ontario Review
You’d expect nothing less from a market leader. On Party Sports Ontario, you’ll gain access to scores of betting options. But if we’re being honest, it’s a bit too much. With so much clutter, it can be hard to find what you’re looking for.
Once you settle into Party Sports’ design, though, there are upsides. For example, its black-on-white colour scheme is easy to read, and its default font is eye-pleasing.
Now, let’s talk about the layout. On the left sidebar, you’ll have access to 25+ sports markets. These include all major team and individual sports, but more exotic options are available, like biathlon and water polo.
Meanwhile, you’ll find the day’s featured games on the betting dashboard. Unfortunately, it’s here where we have another complaint – as of early June 2022, Party seemed to favour internationally-popular sports over the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
NBA and international soccer matches were displayed, but NHL Conference Final games were nowhere to be seen. Sure, you can access hockey markets by using the top tabs or the sidebar – but this is Canada. Hockey is a religion here, so it should be prominently featured.
As we scrolled to the bottom of the page, we encountered another issue – odds. Abroad, punters prefer decimal odds. But in Canada, American-style (or Vegas) odds are king.
On other sportsbooks, they provide a drop-down menu which allows you to change the odds format. But not on Party Sports Ontario.

Party Sports Betting App
Sadly, Party Sports Ontario doesn’t have its own dedicated mobile app. But you might say, “Well, that’s not right!” After all, if you search for Party Sports on the Play and App Stores, you will find an official app.
But don’t be fooled – these apps serve offshore customers, not Ontario’s regulated sports betting market. Not to worry, though, as Party Sports is coded to work with your mobile device. This betting site will morph to fit your screen perfectly, no matter its size.
But how does Party Sports’ mobile site measure up against the competition? Here’s what we like/dislike about it:
Pros & Cons of the App
Party Sports lays odds on over 25 betting market categories. So they’ve got precisely what you’re looking for, from the NHL to Aussie Rules matches Down Under.
And while you wait for your bet to settle, the fun doesn’t stop. Party Casino and Party Poker are linked to Party Sports, providing all the diversions you’ll need.
However, not all is perfect. In our opinion, the Party Sports dashboard has too many moving parts. And if you don’t understand decimal odds, you’ll have to go into your settings to change them to your preferred format.
How to Download
Currently, Party Sports Ontario does not have a dedicated mobile app. Instead, their website responds automatically to your mobile device’s screen.
But Party Gaming does offer a mobile app in other parts of the world. So it’s likely that an app for Party Sports Ontario will eventually become available.
We’ll show you how to download the app when Party launches it – no steps skipped.
Sports Markets Offered by Party Sports
On Party Sports Ontario, hockey and basketball betting are the most popular options. But you can find markets for nearly every significant sport, including soccer, tennis, and MMA.
However, that’s just the start – you can also bet on niche markets such as snooker, biathlon, water polo, and more.
But if you’re the type of person who uses the word “sportsball” unironically, we have bad news. At present, there are no non-sport markets on Party Sports Ontario. But no worries – if they add entertainment or politics categories, we’ll add them here.
Party Sports Odds
Before we compare Party’s odds to the competition, a word. On Party Sports Ontario, decimal odds are used by default. And even worse, there’s no easy way to change them.
So if this format isn’t your preference, you’ll need to go into your account settings and change it there. Sure, it’s annoying, but it is what it is.
Now – let’s see how Party Sports’ odds compare to their competitors. When we wrote this guide, the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs were in full swing. Game 2 between the Colorado Avalanche and the Edmonton Oilers was about to go down, so let’s look at some pre-game moneylines.
On Party Sports Ontario, they had the Oilers at 2.45, or +145. But on Royal Panda, they gave the Oilers +155 odds. And on DraftKings, the Oil fetched a +150.
Now, this doesn’t surprise us. Party has significant brand power, so they can get away with tighter odds than Royal Panda. But as Party Sports angles for a greater market share in Ontario, expect this gap to close.
Betting Options / Bet Types
Like other sportsbooks, Party Sports Ontario offers numerous ways to bet on your favourite team. But if you’ve wagered on sports before, you know what a moneyline is.
So, if you’re looking to branch out a bit, here are some of Party Sports’ more exotic options.
Puck Line
In hockey, the puck line is basically the same as spread bets in football and basketball. So if the Avalanche has a spread of -2.5, they must win by three goals or more for your wager to cash.
First Five Innings
This bet is baseball-specific. In this wager, you’re betting on who will be ahead after five innings. So if the Blue Jays are up 4-2 against the Yankees at the end of the fifth, and you wagered on Toronto, you’d win your bet.
Player Props
With player props, you’re not wagering on the game’s outcome. Instead, you’re betting on how well an individual player will do. So if you think Connor McDavid will get three points in his next game, and Party Sports is laying +350 odds, you’d stand to win $3.50 for every dollar you bet.
Props have seemingly infinite variations, so have fun with them!
Party Sports offers the following betting options:
- Moneyline
- Parlays
- Spread Bets
- Prop Bets
- Over/Unders
- Futures
- In-Play (Live) Betting
Banking Options
On Party Sports Ontario, you can deposit/withdraw using the following methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa/MasterCard/Maestro)
- Bank Transfer
- Interac
- Apple Pay
- Astro Pay
- Neteller
- Skrill
- Paysafecard
- MuchBetter
If you’re looking for convenience and speed, cards and bank transfers are the way. Once you set up these payment methods, you can make additional deposits in seconds.
But what if you require discretion that bank wires and cards don’t provide? In that case, we recommend e-wallets like Apple Pay or prepaid cards like Paysafecard.
E-wallets offer anonymity – rather than Party Sports appearing on your statement, Apple Pay does. And with prepaid cards, you won’t have to worry about any paper trails. All you have to do is buy a Paysafecard, fund it, and use its ID number to deposit.
Customer Service
Even the best online sportsbooks make mistakes. That’s why Party Sports has a robust customer service department. To get help, scroll down to the footer menu, then click on “Help & Contact” under the header, “Let Us Help You.”
Inside, you’ll find a dozen categories that contain all the common inquiries that Party support receives. But what if you can’t find the answer you’re searching for?
Then click on “Other,” followed by “I Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For…” Next, click on the “Yes” button. Doing this will give you two contact options – live chat and email.
Conveniently, support is available 24/7, and Party supplies an upload tool, which helps send essential documents to your customer service rep.
Conclusion
Party Sports is one of the biggest gambling brands in the world. So it’s surprising their Ontario launch has gotten off to a rocky start. However, they have over 25+ sporting markets and world-class customer service. In addition, we expect Party Sports Ontario to work the kinks out of their site eventually. So, despite any headaches, this site is a safe and fun place to play.
