Over the past three months, Google Trends data reveals a clear picture of what Canadians are most interested in and highlights the issues, interests and concerns across the country.

Social issues also rank highly in Canadian searches. Immigration ranks third overall with a score of 78, highlighting the level of public attention this topic has. Meanwhile, public safety (68), crime (52) and mental health (51) also appear among the most searched societal topics.

Entertainment-related topics also feature prominently in Canadian searches with video games ranking among the most searched topics overall (77), thanks to the strong gaming culture across the country. Methodology

This study identifies the Canada most searched topic trends by analysing Google Trends data over the last three months. A selection of topics across four main categories - Economy, Society, Sports and Entertainment - was analysed to understand what Canadians are searching for the most in 2026.

The analysis was conducted at both national and provincial level, covering the following provinces: Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. The results reflect relative search interest rather than absolute search volume.
