Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook went live in the new, competitive Alberta iGaming market as of August 4, 2026, having now gained approval from the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC).
Both brands are set to provide online casino and online sportsbook facilities in the province as part of the wider Bally's Corporation umbrella, as the gambling conglomerate expands its Canadian reach beyond Ontario.
Confirmation of Alberta registration for Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino comes by way of an update to the AiGC registry. According to official AiGC figures, Alberta comprises 27 regulated iGaming brands; that number has steadily increased since the launch of Alberta's regulated industry on July 13, 2026.
Both brands registered months before going live
Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino were registered with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) by early May 2026, more than two months before Alberta's iGaming framework went live on July 13.
Both brands appear in AGLC's registration list, effective May 1, with registrations running until July 13, 2027.
After signing a commercial agreement with the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) both platforms went live on August 4, 2026. Players who pre-registered with Bally Bet or Monopoly Casino can now access either platform around-the-clock, with all online casino games, features and sportsbook markets officially regulated by Alberta's two-body oversight model.
One company… but two different strategies
Bally's Corporation oversees all activities undertaken at Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook - but that is not necessarily reflected in the distinct accoutrements seen across both iGaming platforms.
Rather, Bally's seeks to leverage the marked commercial differences between Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino by tailoring content to specific player interests.
- Bally Bet: Designated as Bally's' core, traditional online product.
- Monopoly Casino: A themed platform featuring Monopoly-style products.
So, while the two will supply online casino games and sportsbook markets, players may notice contrasting product experiences.
Bally Bet Alberta: Built to represent parent company
Bally Bet is considered the traditional-style online casino and sportsbook vertical for Bally's, representing the company's official title within the iGaming scene.
Although initially founded in 2021, Bally Bet underwent significant restructuring in 2023. The platform's current guise is decidedly independent from its original format - and has garnered noteworthy success for Bally's Corporation following its early rework.
The platform's Ontario entry in late-2024 demonstrated an ability to adequately serve non-US customers, ultimately paving the way for an Alberta launch.
Albertans joining Bally Bet will find a deep selection of online casino games, including:
- Slots: Classic-style slots, Megaways, new releases and themed products.
- Live dealer rooms: Real-time baccarat, blackjack, roulette and an assortment of live game shows.
- Table games: Single-player RNG table games, including blackjack and roulette.
The Bally Bet online sportsbook also functions as a core amenity. Lines for popular domestic and international leagues - such as the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB and soccer - are on the docket, as well as niche picks.
Players interested in online casino or sports betting entertainment can use Interac, Visa or Mastercard to fund wagering.
Crucially, all aforementioned features are available through the Bally Bet Sportsbook & Casino mobile app, which is available for iOS and Android.
Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook: Board game central to new products
Monopoly Casino launched in 2016 - several years before sibling platform, Bally Bet - as Gamesys sought to combine casino-style elements with themes pulled directly from the board game.
In 2025, Bally's penned an agreement with Hasbro to expand on the Monopoly name across online casino endeavours, just after the platform's Ontario arrival.
Alberta welcomes Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook at a critical juncture, with the platform in the midst of a new, ongoing strategy to release fresh Monopoly-focused online casino titles.
Among Monopoly Casino's 500+ online slots are titles also seen on Bally Bet, such as Cleopatra and Big Bass Splash. Isolated services are equally available and, in addition to Monopoly casino games, the site is home to Monopoly Rewards.
Fronted by Mr. Monopoly, this programme offers opportunities to exchange Monopoly Money for bonus money to spend on various online casino games. This includes online slots, plus:
- Table games: Over 100 RNG-powered tables spanning blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps, poker and more.
- Live dealer rooms: Dealer-hosted rooms for live blackjack, live roulette, live baccarat and live game shows.
Like Bally Bet, Monopoly Casino & Sportsbook supplies an assortment of sports betting markets covering moneylines, parlays and other wagering options for local and global leagues.
Bally's Interactive CCO: Albertans to experience brands decades in the making
In a statement on the Alberta launch for Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino, Bally's Interactive CCO Sina Miri described that players in the province will be able to take advantage of products supported by industry experience:
"Alberta has a long-standing appreciation for casino gaming, and Bally's brings decades of experience delivering that experience to players," explained Miri. "We're excited to introduce Albertans to Bally Bet, combining the casino games they know and enjoy with a comprehensive sportsbook in one connected platform. With the addition of MONOPOLY Casino, we're also expanding our portfolio with one of the world's most recognisable entertainment brands. Our focus is delivering a high-quality entertainment experience while promoting responsible play."
Thus, as the province deepens its full-scale drive against the unregulated market, Bally Bet and Monopoly Casino represent two firm pillars on the side of licensed wagering.
All players aged 18 and above can join Monopoly Casino and Bally Bet, with additional brands also expected to enter the locale throughout 2026.
