This news is huge, as this betting giant boasts innovative promos, a slick wagering interface, and highly-competitive odds. But has their Ontario site lived up to expectations?

DraftKings Sportsbook Ontario Review

DraftKings Ontario has the same black, grey, and lime colour scheme as its American cousins. We love this, as it’s easy on the eyes (especially after dark). Further, the betting dashboard is uncluttered, with featured sports on top.

Their tabbed menu system means you’re only taps away from wagering on other events. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, then turn your attention to the left sidebar. There, you’ll find popular Canadian sports, and more than 20 additional wagering categories below.

But after we finished skimming through their sports categories, we happened upon something innovative. Beneath the last sports listing, DraftKings takes popular sports and gives them specialized classes.

For instance, users can quickly access playoff markets, markets for overseas soccer leagues, and college football division markets. Brilliant!

How to Download

Currently, Canadians can only access DraftKings’s Daily Fantasy Sports app. But in time, we suspect that they’ll launch a Canadianized version of their American sports betting app.

For now, though, you can access DraftKings Sportsbook Ontario via your mobile browser. DraftKings has crafted its site with responsive design in mind, so the site will load correctly whether you have a tablet or an iPhone.

NHL hockey, Serie A football, cornhole: this is a cross-section of the sports markets available to you on Draftkings Sportsbook Ontario. In all, you’ll have access to 20+ markets.

As you’d expect, this site offers major markets like the CFL, NFL and college football, and basketball leagues like NBA and WNBA plus MLB, golf, tennis, UFC, boxing, MMA, esports, cricket, and rugby. But you’ll also see markets for more niche options, like darts, ultimate disc, and yes, cornhole.

And as mentioned above, DraftKings breaks down many major sports markets into notable subcategories. For example, when we wrote this review, there were sections for playoffs, college football conferences (there are a LOT of them), and overseas soccer leagues.

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds

The Ontario sports betting market is turning into a meat grinder. But that doesn’t matter to DraftKings – with mega deep pockets, they can offer some of the best odds in the industry.

At a minimum, expect DraftKings Ontario to match the odds offered by current market leader sportsbooks like bet365 and theScore Bet. But we’re also expecting power moves – DK didn’t come north to finish second.

Combined with ongoing promos, you could grab some sweet deals, so keep your eyes peeled.

DraftKings is a top-tier sportsbook brand, so it’s expected they’ll offer common bet types like moneylines, spreads, and over/unders. But if you want to get more exotic, you totally can.

Futures

Parlays

New to sports betting? Most seasoned vets are familiar with Proline, but if you aren’t, then parlays may be a novelty. In short, this wager allows you to bet on two or more markets at once.

To win these bets, you must convert on each market. Because of this, parlay wins are much less frequent than single wins. However, since your odds are longer, the resulting profits are much higher – and far more fun.

Card and bank transfers (Interac included) are fast and convenient ways to deposit. However, by using these methods, DraftKings will appear on your statement.

So if discretion is important to you, we recommend using PayPal instead. This way, PayPal will show up on your bill, not DraftKings.

As for withdrawals, be aware that these transactions take time. Unlike deposits, withdrawals are heavily scrutinized to prevent fraud. Allow 3-5 business days for bank transfers and up to 72 hours for PayPal.

Customer Service

Have issues with DraftKings Sportsbook? Start by accessing their FAQ – scroll to the bottom of their site, then click on “Get Help” (it’s under the “Company” subheading – and yes, their footer menu is a mess).

Currently, their FAQ is America-centric. But we don’t fault them for this, as they just launched north of the border. So if you can’t find the answers you’re looking for, click the green “Contact Support” button.

Doing this will take you to a web form. But while DK support works around the clock, this site’s lack of a live chat app disappoints us. So when you submit your query, you may have to wait hours for a reply, AND you’ll have to play email tag. Yay!

Conclusion

In the end, the delayed arrival of DraftKings Sportsbook Ontario was worth the wait. On this site, you’ll get the same fantastic interface, highly-competitive odds, and a diverse selection of sports markets (again, they offer odds on CORNHOLE).

DK has become a leader in the Ontario market overnight, but they aren’t perfect. For starters, we don’t understand why they don’t have a live chatbot – nearly everyone else does.

But overall, DraftKings Sportsbook is as trustworthy as they come. So if you’re looking for a safe and fun place to bet on sports, you’ll love this site.
